Since the beginning of
civilization, war and violence have been inescapably woven with the long
continuing journey of human race. And with it has been the continuous
yearning for peace and security.
Despite the movements of peace worldwide, violence still continues
unabated across the globe. The memory of the atrocious World War II is a
deep scar in the history of mankind.
The World Trade Centre attack at New York on September 9, the London
underground blast, the Bosnia tragedy, the violent strife in
Ireland between the Irish and the British and the expelling of all
Asians from Uganda by the dictator Idi Amin - all narrate a strange
paradox of human destiny.
Close to home, the massive carnage at the Indo-Pak Partition, the Bombay
blasts, the Indo-Pak Kargil-War, the Indian Samjhauta Express bombing,
and the rising communal violence in India - all nail down the dreams and
thoughts of Gautam Buddha and Mahatma Gandhi.
The voice of reason and compassion is getting drowned at every turn. |

Anxiety at Every Turn |
|
IF WE TAKE STOCK OF OUR OWN SURROUNDING, OUR OWN LIVES, WHAT DO WE
PERCEIVE? |
-
Are we sure what's going
to happen in the moment next?
-
A car blast can destroy
your neighbourhood!
-
A can of Coke we
offer our child can be a time bomb in disguise!
-
A popcorn pouch can
explode and kill!!
-
A couriered package can
be carrier of anthrax germs!

Muslims say
Christians,
Christians point to Muslims,
Hindus accuse Sikhs,
Catholics are sure that Protestants are to blame,
Protestants single out Catholics,
Shias accuse Sunnis,
Sunnis accuse Shias, Who could be the perpetrator?
and the cycle of blaming each
other goes on and on...

WEAPONS DO NOT IDENTIFY
|
  |
|
|
A bullet does not differentiate Muslim from a Non-Muslim.
A blast engineered by a Sikh, in itself does not identify a Hindu.
Or does an American missile spot an American from a non-American?
Weapons do not identify. The only truth that they bring is the death of
innocent people…people who do not belong to either warring camps…people
who were looking at the world full of trust and goodwill. Pain and
suffering is all that is left behind.
Don't we have any compassion to protect them?
To ensure a life free from threats for everyone? |

Those who lived breathed and
preached peace were betrayed by their own trusted people. |

 |
|

 |

 |
|
“You
(Muslims) stay on your faith & them (non Muslims)
on their own (peacefully together)” - Holy Quran

|
|
|
All
these ambassadors of peace were the
victims of violence!!!
Merely because they are “misunderstood”
by “misguided” killers...
